The Poultry Extension Collaborative (PEC)
Program Description
The Poultry Extension Collaborative (PEC), founded in 2020, is a group of poultry experts that develops and provides training and education around poultry welfare issues and management.
Outcomes
PEC has 2,999 active users from across the globe, with top countries including the US, China, Singapore, Türkiye, Canada, the Netherlands, India and Germany. To disseminate information, PEC provides monthly articles and annual symposia, consistently increasing users’ knowledge and skills. Attendees at PEC symposia report that they made changes to their behavior as a result of what they learned, with some attendees advancing their career responsibilities and making new connections to their network or career resources.
