Tippecanoe County Parks and Recreation Outdoor Explore

In celebrating the National Get Outdoors Day the Tippecanoe County Park & Recreation Department is holding “Outdoor Explore!: A Beyond Your Backyard Sampler." It is free and is for all-ages as this community event connects people with a wide range of outdoor pursuits through participatory activities at booths staffed by experts in their outdoor hobby.

The Tippecanoe County Park & Recreation Department desires to advance the education of citizens about local natural resources and providing them an opportunity to become active in their community.

There are two events, one occurring at the Amphitheater (view schedule) and the other at the Bicentennial Nature Area (view schedule). The former includes fun sports, arts, and gardening activities while the latter focuses on safety, birding, crafting and water events.

Enjoy attending the fun activities as you view the schedules attached and come see Lenny Farlee, extension forester, at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater location and Megan Gunn, diversity administrator and aquatic biologist, at the Bicentennial Nature Area!

See the Outdoor Explore Facebook page for more information and updates.
