Purdue ENTM Attends ESA's "Swarm the Hill Day"

Purdue attended the Entomological Society of America "Swarm the Hill Day" event, Washington, DC, November 9. The department of Entomology was represented by Ph.D. candidates, Teomie Miranda Rivera and Christine Elliot, postdoctoral scientist, Dr. Samantha Willden and Purdue Entomological Research Collection, Collections Manager, Dr. Chris Wirth. The team met with the congressional offices of Senators Young and Braun, and Representative Baird to share their science in the areas of forensic entomology, food security and urban food systems and entomological collections and to advocate for research priorities in entomological research, as identified by the society (ESA).
