Hello, everyone! I’ve been a part of Purdue Extension for seven years, and many of you have worked me in the past on questions, projects, and events related to entomology and insect education. Until last October, I served as the ANR Extension educator for Clay and Owen counties, but I’ve since moved into a new role as the Exotic Forest Pest Educator with the Department of Entomology on campus. There are a lot of moving parts to what I do, but what it boils down to is that I’m here to assist Extension educators, urban forestry experts, and the general public with efforts to combat invasive species. While my focus is primarily on invasive insects, such as spotted lanternfly and spongy moth, I also do a significant amount of work on other invertebrates or invasive pathogens, such as the Asian jumping worm and thousand canker disease.
