Dr. Brock Harpur Receives First Early Career Award

Dr. Brock Harpur, an evolutionary biologist at Purdue University, was recognized with the College of Agriculture’s Early Career Research Commercialization Award for translating cutting-edge honeybee genomics into practical tools that strengthen pollinator health and agricultural productivity. His work bridges fundamental science and real-world application, enabling beekeepers and breeders to use DNA-based insights to develop more resilient colonies, improve pollination outcomes, and enhance the sustainability of food systems. By moving innovations from the laboratory to the field, Harpur exemplifies the impact of research that delivers tangible economic and environmental benefits.

The COA Excellence in Research Celebration was held on Friday, April 3rd, 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Dauch Alumni Center.

Join us in congratulating Brock!
