BAC Fighter Betty Feng Teaches Food Safety to Underrepresented Communities

The lab’s very own Dr. Betty Feng was recently recognized in an article by the Partnership for Food Safety Education for her work on extension programs for underrepresented communities. The article highlights Dr. Feng’s inspiration and emphasis on food safety education. Underrepresented communities are at a heightened risk of contracting foodborne illness due to a lack of food safety knowledge. Dr. Feng’s work provides low-income families the opportunity to engage and learn about food safety via a virtual education program.
