On May 4th, 2023, Frito-Lay announced a voluntary recall of limited amount of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips (146 bags of 13 oz. and 15 5/8 oz.). The recall is due to the potential presence of undeclared milk ingredients from sour cream and onion potato chips. 

The recalled products were sold to grocery, club, and convenience stores in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Consumers were able to purchase the recalled products starting from April 16th, 2023.  

No other Lay’s products have been recalled, and no allergy reactions have been reported to date. If a consumer has an allergy or sensitivity to milk, they are encouraged to not consume it and discard it immediately.
