Pecorino Romano Cheese Recalled Due to Potential Listeria Contamination

On November 25, 2025, The Ambriola Company announced a recall of Pecorino Romano cheese products under a variety of Brands. This recall is due to possible Listeria contamination.  

Affected products were sold nationwide to retail stores as well as distributors between November 3 and November 20. The list of affected products can be found here

No illnesses have been reported to date. Listeria monocytogenes  can cause symptoms such as fever, diarrhea, nausea, headache, stiffness, and abdominal pain in healthy persons and can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people, and people with weakened immune systems.
