Kara Hartman began her career in 2007 in International Programs in Agriculture, focusing on study abroad experiences in higher education. She is driven by the joy and impact that international exposure has on students, believing that broadening their horizons fosters personal growth, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of the world. Her enthusiasm for this field is rooted in her own experiences. As a graduate from Purdue Agricultural Economics, former Indiana FFA State Officer, 10-year 4-H member and growing up on a farm, she developed a strong connection to agriculture and leadership from a young age. During her undergraduate experience she took advantage of studying abroad for a semester at University College Dublin which altered her ambitions. Through her work, Kara aims to provide students with transformative experiences that not only enhance their academic and professional lives but also create lasting memories that shape their perspectives on global agriculture and society.
