Danshi Spicy Shredded Tofu Recalled Due to Undeclared Sesame


On June 26, 2025, Shang Hao Jia, Inc. announced a recall of 50 cases of Danshi Spicy Shredded Tofu. This recall is due to the product containing sesame, which is not declared on the label.  

The product was distributed in California and delivered directly to supermarkets. The recalled product was sold in 200 g plastic containers. The best-by date for the affected product is 05/24/2025, the lot code is #20240825, and the UPC code is #694289709499.  

To date, no illnesses have been reported due to this recall. However, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sesame could potentially have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction to this product.  

Consumers are urged to discontinue using this product and to return it to the place of service for a full refund. For any questions or concerns, consumers can call 1-626-277-2819 from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm Pacific Time on Monday-Friday.
