Ohio River Valley Woodlands and Wildlife Workshop

Purdue Extension wildlife specialist Brian MacGowan will be offering up non-game wildlife habitat hints as part of the Ohio River Valley Woodlands and Wildlife Workshop on March 27.

The virtual event sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Services of the University of Kentucky, The Ohio State University and Purdue University, as well as the Kentucky Division of Forestry and Kentucky State University, brings together forestry and wildlife experts to help landowners discover how to assess the health of their woodlands and the value of their woodlands as well offering habitat management practices for both game and non-game species.

MacGowan will speak at 1 p.m. and cover what woodland owners can do for non-game birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians that call the woods home. He will share about the biology of the various species as well as a common-sense approach to habitat management.

The Ohio River Valley Woodlands and Wildlife Workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST on March 27. There is no cost to the workshops. All content will be delivered via zoom.
