Silage / Earlage Decision Aid

This South Dakota State University Extension Silage/Earlage Calculator is designed to help corn and livestock producers answer questions regarding the value of standing fields of corn either as grain, silage and earlage. Also included are silage yield determinations and the cost of the silage being delivered to the feed bunk. The last component of the calculator will help livestock producers determine how many acres of silage or earlage would need to be cut to meet feed inventory needs.
