Agricultural Economics Extension Center Archives

Extension has long been central to Purdue’s land-grant mission—connecting research and teaching with the needs of Indiana’s farms, businesses and communities. The Extension centers featured in this archive represent decades of work to deliver timely, research-based insights that supported decision-making, strengthened rural economies and advanced the agricultural sector.

While these centers are no longer active, their contributions continue to shape the Department of Agricultural Economics and inform ongoing Extension efforts. This archive preserves their legacy—highlighting the programs, partnerships and applied research that helped fulfill Purdue’s commitment to service and impact across the state.

The materials included here are provided for historical reference and reflect the enduring role of Extension in translating knowledge into practice for the benefit of Indiana and beyond.

Archived Extension Centers

The Center for Food Demand Analysis and Sustainability (CFDAS) at Purdue tracked consumer insights and the economics of the food system. Timely reports on trends and emerging topics can guide research on nutrition and plant innovations, and reveal how policy impacts food markets.

These insights not only help consumers make more informed decisions but also help farmers, agribusinesses and policymakers improve the food system.

Years active: 2021-2026
