Purdue China Program in Agribusiness Management

The Purdue China Program in Agribusiness Management is a summer workshop organized by the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University, tailored for the need of an AgEcon or Agribusiness department from Chinese institutes. Since 2013, we have offered many workshops in collaboration with Zhejiang University, Southwest University of Finance and Economics, Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Nanjing Agricultural University.

The vision of this program is to develop a communication platform for agribusiness scholars between the US and China. This one- or two-week-long workshop at Purdue University provides lectures, agribusiness company visits, farm visits and other agribusiness management related activities to students and scholars from China. The participants are from diversified backgrounds such as agribusiness students, AgEcon professors, agronomists, agricultural bankers, government officials, media personnel, agribusiness investors, entrepreneurs, and business executives on the food supply chain.

On January 29, 2022, the Agribusiness Online Workshop co-organized by Chinese Center for International Education and Exchange and The Department of Agricultural Economics, Purdue University, was completed successfully. It was open to faculty and students in all Chinese universities, offered online from January 17 to 29 with 31 class hours. Participants and their home universities have given great appreciation to the program. Read More.
