Why did you come to Purdue: I came to Purdue because of the success proven in the College of Agriculture and the environment that welcomes prospective students.

  1. Sledding on Slayter Hill
  2. 2024 National Championship

Places you have been as a Purdue student: For the most part, I have stayed within an hour of Purdue with internships at Keystone Cooperative and Kokomo Grain Co. I worked out of Mulberry and Reynolds, IN, with Keystone and in Kokomo with Kokomo Grain Co.  

Favorite club/organization: Block & Bridle  

Favorite student-led event/initiative: The Royal Livestock Show hosted by Block & Bridle

Favorite social activity: Ag Week

Favorite thing about CoA: The tight-knit community that takes anyone in and is helpful in any way

Favorite thing about your major: Getting to take classes in economics and general business management

Favorite class: AGEC 330 

Favorite professor: Dr. Brady Brewer and Dr. Leann Moss  

Three biggest accomplishments: Maintaining a 4.0 while at Purdue, earning the Presidential Scholarship, and graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in 2.5 years

Things on your resume not listed above: I am a student assistant for Ryan Good in the Ag Econ Graduate Department, as well as a member of the Agribusiness Club. 

Accepted employment? Kokomo Grain full-time as a Grain Merchandiser 

Career goal: Commodity Trader/Grain Manager 

Advice for underclassmen: Take advantage of the people surrounding you and all of the help offered. Some of the classes are tough but don’t have to be if you use the resources provided. 

Biggest takeaway from Purdue: The idea that Purdue has connections all around the world. Simply getting to know someone around campus, faculty or student, could take you a long way in your future.
