A Senior Letter to Purdue
Name: Faith Frey
Hometown: Columbia City, IN
Major: Agribusiness Marketing
Why did you come to Purdue: I came to Purdue because, from the moment I stepped on campus, it felt like home. Being one of the top ag schools also ensured I would get a good education!

Favorite Purdue tradition: The Ag Council Moonlight Pancake Breakfast every year during Grand Prix. Being on the Ag Council Exec Board, I had so much fun watching students from all the colleges come together and share a night of fun!
Places you have been as a Purdue student: I attended the AFA Leaders Institute in Kansas City, MO, in my second year and got the opportunity to travel with a group of friends. Being able to network not only with professionals but also with students from across the United States was so much fun!

Favorite club/organization: Being a part of the Ag Council team and serving a two-year term gave me some of my best memories. Serving as a general member the first year opened my eyes to the community we served, and serving in a position my second year brought a whole other light. Being able to connect new students to organizations and clubs was so cool because I knew all the clubs ultimately had one goal in mind, and it was to make agriculture better!
Favorite student-led initiative: I have loved being a part of Purdue Letters of Love since my freshman year. This is where students have the opportunity to make cards for kids who are in the hospital. It takes a little bit of time, but it can bring a child so much joy.
Favorite Purdue event: Spring Fest is one of my favorite events during my time at Purdue. Getting to watch kids come and enjoy the activities clubs put on is a super cool day full of fun. Clubs work hard to prepare for this, and it’s rewarding to watch it all play out.
Favorite place on campus: The Lobby by Greyhouse in Lafayette!
Favorite thing about CoA: The College of Ag here at Purdue is very tight-knit, and you can always count on someone when you’re in need.
Favorite class: My favorite class was AGEC 331 with Dr. Downey. This was the most applicable class and was also fun. Learning how to sell a product before entering the workforce is extremely rewarding.
Favorite professor: Dr. Leann Moss was one of my favorite professors throughout my time at Purdue because she deeply cared about her students and would always make an effort to make our coursework relevant to what we were studying.
Class you are excited to take your senior year: Flower Arranging

Future plans: Following my graduation, I plan to pursue a career in animal nutrition and sales.
Advice for underclassmen: Say ‘yes’ to all the opportunities you get; time flies by, and you won’t get these years back. College is what you make of it, so enjoy all the opportunities you get!
The biggest takeaway from Purdue: Don’t be afraid of a challenge. Take risks because they often bring the biggest rewards. Work hard and get involved across campus, too, because it leads to more opportunities than you realize!
