Kicking it with the Football Film Crew

Although Purdue football has seen better seasons, Melody Dodds (Agribusiness sophomore; Fairland, IN) has still enjoyed being on the sidelines! Melody filmed team practices and every home game. She learned about the opportunity through a friend from home who connected her with the right person to join the football team’s film crew.

Dodds shared, “My favorite thing to film is kick-off because everything goes smoothly, and the crowd is always loud during this time.” She hopes to travel with the team in the next few years and finds it “pretty cool” to be on the field with some amazing athletes. Two of her favorite memories this year include being close to Drew Brees and having the entire Purdue men’s basketball team walk behind her on the field. Dodds thought the crowd was cheering for her and then looked back to see all of them on the field!
